Android question edittext loose focus. discussion in 'android questions' started by merlin2049er, oct 8, i've got an edittext box, after an enter_pressed event (and done hit on the keyboard) the cursor still blinks on that edittext box. i created an invisible edittext and set the focus to that to lose focus of the box i want to lose. Feb 15, 2010. how can we prevent an edittext from getting focus and displaying the soft keyboard. i have an searchbox which should not be focused by default and should have focus only when user clicks on it to enter something.. When i use android 2, everything works fine. when i use android 4, however, i cannot enter values. here are the steps to reproduce: on the featured page, click asiana fusion; on the details page, click view menu; click scallion pancakes (first item) in the instructions box, enter a value; notice how the textbox loses focus, as soon as you click it..
Hello i'm trying learn android developpement with xamarin because c# is my mother language however i realize that the community here is tiny and help difficult to find. Hey guys, i have a problem because i have a edittext that takes a login, but when i enter the field, it wont lose focus. is this normal ? i found something about the inputmethodmanager.. You can use focus change listener on edit text and change the value of hint to “email” when the text field gains focus and change it back “enter your email” when it loses focus kousik hey ravi i am using the theme “theme.appcompat.light.noactionbar” i can get inflate exception over here how to rectify that..???.
